Cairo, Egypt

The city of Cairo comes alive in the painting: a chaotic dance of streets and people, a mixture of ancient and modern, like an inspired mural masterpiece on an ancient wall.

Wall art in the heart of Cairo

When I walked the streets of Cairo, you understand that this is the kind of city where you want to stop and look. Slowly. Local wall art here is like a part of life. Pictures that are right on the walls, as if they are talking. Well, you walk down the street, and there... what is not there!

Posters, posters and more posters

In one small shop, I accidentally came across a couple of really cool posters. It was like in a movie - you open the door, and there... magic. It's amazing how much emotion can be put into one poster. It seems to me that they can replace a whole story or a book - you just look and understand everything without words. I took a couple of these home to remember the trip.

The brightness of the colors - sometimes even too bright!

The depth of the plots - each picture has a story.

Unique style - only in Cairo can you find these.

Canvas prints, as if from a museum

Another interesting thing is canvas prints. Once I came across an exhibition: it was simply amazing. Honestly, I was amazed. Such paintings that everything around me freezes. It seems you can touch the textures - as if they were from a museum, and not a souvenir shop.

I remember one of my favorite paintings suddenly eclipsed everything. It had such a meaning that words cannot describe. I constantly catch myself thinking: I should have bought it, brought it home, so I could always see it on my wall. You know, now I want to go back, suddenly I'll see it again.

In general, if you find yourself in Cairo, look at at least a couple of shops with wall works - after all, it's these little things that make the trip real.
